Life of a deadbeat. Surprise!

New blog!

I’ve made a new blog!

http://liliripe.wordpress.com/

I figured this one had so much content solely dedicated to my skin and health issues that it really was no fun to browse through. I’ll continue to update this one with info on my Accutane course and Rosacea treatment, but for everything else, I’ll be using Liliripe.

downer

It’s been a week and a half since I took an Accutane pill, and the flare is the same as it ever was. I couldn’t sleep last night because of the burning. I’ve been taking at least 4 Ibuprofen a day to deal with the inflammation, but it really doesn’t do much. I haven’t left the house since Thanksgiving because of this.

My derm appointment is tomorrow, so I’m going to ask for 10mg pills, as I don’t want to go too long without Accutane and start breaking out on top of everything else. My Rosacea is 2x as bad as it’s ever been in my life now… I just don’t understand how it can go from relatively calm to flaring severely for two weeks straight. I really hope there’s something the derm can give me for the inflammation. The last thing I want to do is have to stop Accutane and start breaking out again. Things had been going so well.

Forgot to add: My hair has been shedding more than usual the past few days, which I read can be a side effect of taking Ibuprofen daily, so I’m going to have to stop taking it. :/

meh

My Rosacea’s been flaring since the day before Thanksgiving… It looks and feels like I have a massive sunburn. This happened last month due to being on too high of an Accutane dose, so I went from taking 9 pills a week to only 2 pills. Thankfully, my skin has stayed clear, but the flare is still awful. I’m not taking any pills this week and am going to lower my dose further. Hopefully the Rosacea will calm down without any breakouts.

Because of the flare, I can’t really leave the house. I’m flying to Florida on the 12th, so I’m praaaaying that everything’s calmed down by then.

December has always been my favorite month, but I’m having a hard time getting into the spirit. >.<

new blog in the works

Because this blog has turned into my skin care update thingamajig, I decided to start working on a new blog as well. I’ll update again when I get it ironed out more.

Good advice…

…costs nothing and is worth the price.

Another one of my favorite quotes:

Suddenly you’re like a pirate, you’re 65 years old, and you’ve got an ear-ring.

So random.

I haven’t posted in so long! Nothing all too exciting has transpired since my last post, though it seems I’ve gotten sick at least three times in the last few weeks. Thinking back, that’s the whole reason my mom pulled me out of school when I was seven – constantly sick. Must – take – vitamins – more – often.

I’ve been working through some pilates sessions every morning for the last month. It’s easy enough exercise, though it still keeps me somewhat in shape. What I don’t understand is how I’ve lost almost ten pounds since quitting dance as opposed to gaining that weight. I’m chalking it up to my no-sugar diet, though I doubt even I ate ten pounds worth of delicious, sugary… wonderful… chocolate… cinnamon…

I think I’ll post a quick Accutane update. I’m on my 23rd day (already?!) and things are going normally. My face is getting pretty dry, so I have to apply moisturizer every few hours, otherwise I lose the ability to smile, haha. I’m in the midst of the initial “Accutane breakout,” and it’s not pretty. My Rosacea is a lot less red than it used to be, and there was one evening a few nights ago when I had absolutely no redness in my face, which was a pretty novel sight. Right now, it’s just a bit of nondescript pinkness, yay.

My goal is to be clear for Halloween, and since, at that time, I will be finishing up my 3rd month on Accutane, I really have no doubts that I’ll meet this goal. I’m hoping this “initial breakout” doesn’t last much longer, though. >.<

A finishing lol:
