Whiskey Rowww

My mom made a surprise trip to Arizona yesterday. She drove me and my brother up to Prescott (where the daytime temps were in the 80’s!) where we had a hotel room for the night. We drove back this afternoon.

I looove all the Victorian shops, houses, and saloons along Whiskey Row. <3 I wish I had brought my digital camera. We ate at a little French restaurant, then spent some time at the local bookstore. By this time it was storming outside, so we collected our things and watched the Olympics back at the hotel.

This morning, we did some more shopping and sight-seeing before heading home. It was such a short trip, but a lot of fun!

Accutane’s going well… some tiny breakouts here and there, but no “initial breakout” yet. I’m not dry yet, either (I kinda want this one to happen soon!). The dizzy spells are gone. I just started the 2nd week… the 2nd and 3rd weeks are kind of notorious for side effects, so we’ll see.

Dat’s a catchy title right dar

I’m addicted to the Sims 2 again. ;_; This always happens every few months, and I’ll play long enough to build a few houses, but I never actually end up playing the families I make… and then I get bored and stop playing for a few months. I’m had the Open for Business and Seasons expansions for over a year, but I don’t think I’ve ever really played them. ;_;

I’ve taken 5 Accutane pills so far, and it’s smooth sailing as of now. Accutane works by purging everything out of the pores, so users are expected to break out before their skin clears. So far, I’ve gotten a really tiny breakout, but nothing serious yet. I’ll probably be breaking out off and on for the next few weeks before I start clearing up, but the sooner the better!

The only other side effect I’ve had so far is dehydration. My skin isn’t dry yet, but last night I started getting really dizzy. Drinking tons of water helped that.

I found a ton of Broadway numbers on Youtube, and I had a field day. I love this one, from The Drowsy Chaperone:

She’s so talented!

Augh… It’s 9:30PM and I haven’t even started school, haha… Better get to it…

Small world! …and other related phenomena

I met a chick on a forum who started Accutane a few days ago. We got to talking, and we found out we both live in Arizona. Then we talked some more… we both attend online high school – the same online high school, lol. I couldn’t believe the odds! Unfortunately, I’m a little ahead of her, but I guess it would be too much of a coincidence to have the same classes, haha.

I got my blood test today! (I think was my 6th blood test this year, lol… my poor veins…) I’ll be able to pick up my Accutane prescription anywhere from tomorrow morning to this weekend. I will definitely be on Accutane this time next week. =3

My cold has been lasting forever, but it’s just a throbbing kind of head ache now. I’m trying to stay off the computer as much as possible so it doesn’t get too bad.

Disney released a teaser video for The Princess and the Frog last week. I hope they fix some of the characters, since they look a little generic, but the princess is really cute. I’ve been a Disney fan since I was two, so I squee~ whenever I hear news about their animated movies. I’m also looking forward to Rapunzel in 2010.

Pixar also has a fairy tale in the mix:

Release date: December 2011

Another Pixar movie, Up!, is to be released next year. Here’s a short trailer:

From the Academy Award®-nominated team of director Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc.“) and co-director Bob Peterson comes “Up,” a comedic adventure taking off (and lifting spirits) in summer 2009. Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. “Up” takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures. When seeking adventure next summer — look “Up.

I have no idea how that’ll turn out, but I’m glad Pixar is trying something different (as usual).

Speaking of movies, I saw the HP6 trailer last week. I heard the boy who plays young Tom Riddle is the nephew of the man who plays Voldemort… that works, haha. I’m looking forward to the movie and hope they’re able to do the book justice. Also, did anyone else hear they’re splitting the last book into two movies?

Okay, I’ll end it here. ;)
