Life of a deadbeat. Surprise!Whiskey Rowww
My mom made a surprise trip to Arizona yesterday. She drove me and my brother up to Prescott (where the daytime temps were in the 80’s!) where we had a hotel room for the night. We drove back this afternoon.
I looove all the Victorian shops, houses, and saloons along Whiskey Row. <3 I wish I had brought my digital camera. We ate at a little French restaurant, then spent some time at the local bookstore. By this time it was storming outside, so we collected our things and watched the Olympics back at the hotel.
This morning, we did some more shopping and sight-seeing before heading home. It was such a short trip, but a lot of fun!
Accutane’s going well… some tiny breakouts here and there, but no “initial breakout” yet. I’m not dry yet, either (I kinda want this one to happen soon!). The dizzy spells are gone. I just started the 2nd week… the 2nd and 3rd weeks are kind of notorious for side effects, so we’ll see.
Dat’s a catchy title right dar
I’m addicted to the Sims 2 again. ;_; This always happens every few months, and I’ll play long enough to build a few houses, but I never actually end up playing the families I make… and then I get bored and stop playing for a few months. I’m had the Open for Business and Seasons expansions for over a year, but I don’t think I’ve ever really played them. ;_;
I’ve taken 5 Accutane pills so far, and it’s smooth sailing as of now. Accutane works by purging everything out of the pores, so users are expected to break out before their skin clears. So far, I’ve gotten a really tiny breakout, but nothing serious yet. I’ll probably be breaking out off and on for the next few weeks before I start clearing up, but the sooner the better!
The only other side effect I’ve had so far is dehydration. My skin isn’t dry yet, but last night I started getting really dizzy. Drinking tons of water helped that.
I found a ton of Broadway numbers on Youtube, and I had a field day. I love this one, from The Drowsy Chaperone:
She’s so talented!
Augh… It’s 9:30PM and I haven’t even started school, haha… Better get to it…
Small world! …and other related phenomena
I met a chick on a forum who started Accutane a few days ago. We got to talking, and we found out we both live in Arizona. Then we talked some more… we both attend online high school – the same online high school, lol. I couldn’t believe the odds! Unfortunately, I’m a little ahead of her, but I guess it would be too much of a coincidence to have the same classes, haha.
I got my blood test today! (I think was my 6th blood test this year, lol… my poor veins…) I’ll be able to pick up my Accutane prescription anywhere from tomorrow morning to this weekend. I will definitely be on Accutane this time next week. =3
My cold has been lasting forever, but it’s just a throbbing kind of head ache now. I’m trying to stay off the computer as much as possible so it doesn’t get too bad.
Disney released a teaser video for The Princess and the Frog last week. I hope they fix some of the characters, since they look a little generic, but the princess is really cute. I’ve been a Disney fan since I was two, so I squee~ whenever I hear news about their animated movies. I’m also looking forward to Rapunzel in 2010.
Pixar also has a fairy tale in the mix:

Release date: December 2011
Another Pixar movie, Up!, is to be released next year. Here’s a short trailer:
From the Academy Award®-nominated team of director Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc.“) and co-director Bob Peterson comes “Up,” a comedic adventure taking off (and lifting spirits) in summer 2009. Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. “Up” takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures. When seeking adventure next summer — look “Up.
I have no idea how that’ll turn out, but I’m glad Pixar is trying something different (as usual).
Speaking of movies, I saw the HP6 trailer last week. I heard the boy who plays young Tom Riddle is the nephew of the man who plays Voldemort… that works, haha. I’m looking forward to the movie and hope they’re able to do the book justice. Also, did anyone else hear they’re splitting the last book into two movies?
Okay, I’ll end it here.
Six days…
… till my appointment! I was talking with a girl who started Accutane today, and she said that she was able to get her pills the day she got her blood test. I hope that happens in my case! I’ve been loading up on moisturizers and vaseline for my lips. I’ll have to get eye drops and a nice conditioner in case my hair dries out, as well.
I’m still waiting for the tanner to go away… I have this big dark patch around my neck, like a choker necklace or something, lol. I’m not using the new tanner until the old one is completly gone… might take another week or two at this rate. -_- My Rosacea’s behaving, though.
It’s been tough not eating sugar, but it’s starting to get easier. I’ve been eating lots of sweet fruit, but my dad has a penchant for purchasing molding batches. I opened the case of strawberries he brought home today and thought there were a lot of dark, fuzzy leaves on them. Delicious!
Anyone have any book suggestions? I have a Barnes and Noble gift card from Christmas that I really need to spend…
?
I have a blog? What?
Lol sorry, I really don’t update this much. No news is good news, I guess.
8 DAYS TILL ACCUTANE!!
Actually, that’s when I get my blood test… when the pills actually arrive at the pharmacy depends on how quickly my doctor reviews the test. Could be that day, could be four… Hopefully he’ll get to it quickly. Either way, it’s sooo close!!
My acne and Rosacea have been okay. I was finally getting used to have a bit of tan from the cream tanner when I accidentally used a retinoid on my face one night and made the tanner start to peel. Not nice. I’m going to let it fade completely then, when my Rosacea starts making me pink again, I’ll use the tanner again, sans retinoid. Having a bit of a golden/brown to my skin makes my hair look a lot of different browns, which it cool. Right now, because the Rosacea is being good, my face is so pale… It’s cool because this is how it used to be 24/7 before the redness cropped up. It’s nice, but it makes every flaw very obvious. I look forward to being pale again after I clear up, though!
I’m really tired, so I’m sorry if I’m talking in circles or babbling about nothing. I’ve been sick, so I’m trying to take it easy for the next week. It feels like my body has been aged thirty years… lol.
